DFW Samaj was founded in the year of 1991
DFW Gujarati Samaj, Inc. (“Samaj”) is a Texas based 501 (c) Non-Profit organization. Founded in 1991, our mission has been to provide a platform for Gujaratis from all regions of Gujarat, India, who now call the DFW metroplex their home.
We achieve this mission through the dedicated efforts of our community volunteers and partners. Together, we work to promote and preserve the rich heritage and language of Gujarat, fostering cultural awareness among present and future generations.
In Memoriam: Dr. Manmohan Singh
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India. Dr. Singh was a distinguished leader who played a crucial role in India's economic transformation and global standing. His vision and policies have immensely benefitted communities across India, including the Gujarati community, through his dedication to economic reforms and development.
Dr. Singh's tenure saw significant initiatives like the Right to Education Act and the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, which have positively impacted countless lives. His leadership in international diplomacy, including the US-India Civil Nuclear Cooperation Agreement, showcased his commitment to fostering global partnerships.
We, at DFW Gujarati Samaj, extend our heartfelt condolences to Dr. Singh's family, friends, and admirers. His humility, wisdom, and relentless service to the nation will always be remembered and cherished. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
